When did Nvidia become the center of the investment world?
Somehow, every single company relies on their chips and sales.
You wake up, you see Nvidia.
The next day, you read an article boasting about AI.
It keeps going on and on.
So I keep wondering — when did Nvidia become the center of the investment & business world?
This week on Wednesday, when I was opening my newsfeed in the Wall Street Journal and Google News, practically every single article was talking about Nvidia and how they're financially performing this quarter.
They keep saying that is going to change the whole market. Some were even having viewings at a bar where they could view the performance announcement of Nvidia.
Then it struck me that Nvidia is not really a company anymore. It represents the AI market, and the AI market is what's driving everything nowadays.
If Nvidia sells better, the AI market is growing.
If Nvidia doesn't sell better, then the AI market is flawed.
But that doesn't really change the fact that the market will keep growing, doesn't it?
Think about it. With the amount of investments poured into artificial intelligence startups these days, it's inevitable that they would come up with something.
OpenAI is not going to release artificial general intelligence anytime soon, but:
Perplexity is going to release a good browser because of its $165 million of investment.
Figure.ai are going to release a robot that has artificial intelligence features because of their $854 million of investments. Guess you read that right.
Creatopy, a new company that automates ad creation using AI, already raised $10 million.
The benefits of a trending market are already planted in our business world.
So it doesn't actually matter how Nvidia performed this week, how much they sold their AI services, or how much they declined in terms of valuation.
Money has already been transferred from the market to the people operating on AI tools.
So when it comes to the question of whether AI is going to be dominant or is it just a trend? It doesn't really matter because a trend is for a short period of time unless you have a ripple effect due to this trend.
This ripple effect is going to start to show because whatever happens in this trend, even if the AI market crashes tomorrow:
Perplexity is still going to have this amount of money to work on their company.
Creatopy — same thing.
All those companies have the funds to make a product irrelevant to the fear, uncertainty and doubt of worldwide investors when it comes to the AI market.
The AI world is already being built. I've said that to many of my clients, and I've said that to many of my friends. It's only a matter of time before it shows on your doorstep.
What you do next will determine your company's performance, your personal career growth in the upcoming 5 to 10 years.
If you're choosing to adopt an AI mindset, you ought to be going in the right direction.
I know story and its a plausible outcome and fun for ostensible hypothesizing. understand I don't know the future or don't plan to it's just an idea.I don't understand it's going to happen but it seems like it.
Once upon a time there was a countryg in African near the Sahara.
They couldn't get water(the despotic auitocrat uptseam wa damming it up to keep it for their couty I'm sure they'll be la war) they had to walk in 12 miles to get water.
well some of Americam shows up drils a well there close to him and well they've got water and don't have to walk. They get lazy start drinking doing drugs and breeding out of season and all that. are well or they don't have to walk well pretty soon their languishing in lassitude they're on drugs and they're drinking and whatever they're screwing up because they don't have to go to get their water that was what was keeping them healthy and surviving okay that's the short version get what I'm saying but sometimes if you got an automatic shovel that's problem it's better if you have a real one even though it sounds like hell and it's no fun to dig. sometimes we dig because we must.
